THE BIG SHOT RULERS in your Astrological Chart - Part 2
Now that we are accustomed to part 1 and the ascendent and the ruling planets, we can start to create a deeper tonality by building on the sun sign & moon sign energies.
The Sun, the giver of life, represents our conscious mind in Astrology. It represents our will to live and our creative life force. Just as the planets revolve around the Sun in our solar system, we derive our life purpose from the Sun in our natal charts. The Sun is our ego.
The Moon sign, is another very important influence in your horoscope chart after the Sun, represents your emotions, your inner mood. And the two together strongly influence your emotional mode of operation.
Lets start with the sun sign.
So, for this you need your birth chart again. This time we are looking to where the sun sign is (you may not know the planet signs, but the sun looks like this > ☉
Here is an example :
So when you find where your sun sign is placed note down on a piece of paper a) the sign it is in (capricorn, scorpio etc etc) and the house. We aren’t going to get into the qualities houses so much, just yet, BUT we need to know about this to get a deeper understanding.
Then note the PLANETARY RULER of the sign your sun is in. For example, my sun sign is in capricorn. The planetary ruler of capricorn is saturn. So we can bring two things together here. Firstly, a capricorn sun sign is generally dependable, hard working, determined (and much more) but then we add in the energy of saturn (hard work, structure, reliability, structure). In other words, we develop a deeper picture all ready.
Next, we can go on an investigation. I would then look to the Sign WHERE THE PLANETARY RULER IS placed i.e in my chart I now look to where my saturn is placed. Now for me, it’s a bit annoying as the saturn is still in the sign of capricorn, so this just brings MORE capricorn energy.
BUT say saturn was in the sign of aries, i would add the aries qualities into the mix. Then, I WOULD LOOK TO THE PLANETARY RULER OF ARIES (MARS) AND WHERE THIS IS PLACED… and so on and so on.
Note everything you discover, rulers, qualities and your investigation work. This way you start to get a deeper understanding of all the colours of this person’s sun sign and how it is functioning.
And guess what…. you can do this also with the moon.
This is how we can gain a greater understanding of the more complex energies at play. Remember that astrology is a combination of many elements so we need to tie it all up and see it as a whole energy!
This is pretty complex for a beginner, so please do not feel overwhelmed. After all, you can just GOOGLE so much stuff or book a reading!
